”Wabi-sabi”, aka The Story That Wants to be a Story, was selected to be in The Woven Tale Press’ Literary Spotlight!
I was in a very strange place when I came up with the original idea for the piece, and the final draft deviated quite a bit from what I initially wrote while sitting in my apartment on the Upper East Side, thinking about the girl I loved who just couldn’t quite love me back (for entirely justifiable reasons — it’s funny how time, being a flat circle and all, provides that kind of perspective).
As my first published piece of fiction, I’m sure I’ll look back on this and wonder just what I was thinking when I wrote it. But for now, I love it, and I sincerely hope you do too.
